Mission
Our mission is to enhance the well-being and prosperity of the Somali community in the United States and beyond. We are committed to promoting education, healthcare, infrastructure development, and positive community relations through a variety of means, including community meetings, social gatherings, and other events. By fostering a sense of unity and collaboration among individuals and organizations, we strive to empower and uplift our community for generations to come.Vision
Our non-profit organization envisions a community that has access to basic necessities such as food, water, shelter, healthcare, and education. We believe that by working together, we can create a more equitable and just society that values the well-being of all individuals. We aim to empower marginalized groups and advocate for policies that promote social and environmental justice. Through our initiatives, we hope to inspire individuals to take action and become agents of change in their communities.Challenges
Over 50% of the Somalia population is in urgent need of medical care, food, agriculture, and nutrition assistance. Due to a combination of persistent drought, economic conditions, and war, millions of families, women, and children do not have access to food and are unable to grow crops due to the present conditions.Solution
All donations to this fund will support recovery and relief efforts in the drought and famine region. Initially, the fund will help immediate needs, such as clean water, food, medical care, and transportation. Once initial relief work is complete, this fund will transition to support longer-term recovery efforts run by vetted, local organizations.Long Term Impact
We believe that organizations that are deeply rooted in local communities are often in the best position to provide long-term support for disaster victims. By funding the relief efforts of local organizations, donations to this fund have the potential to build stronger disaster-response capacity so that these organizations are better equipped to face future disasters.GET INVOLVED WHERE IT MATTERS MOST!
